About Us
Greater Vision Dance Company (GVDC) is a concert and commercial dance-based company focused on both technique and performance. The vision of this organization is to nurture, enlighten, and broaden youth dancers' perspectives on the performing arts. Our mission is to increase the youth exposure and appreciation for the performing arts through affordable classes, workshops, and performances, as well as other opportunities.

Classes are offered 3 days a week and rehearsals once(Travel Company twice) a week for company members. All company members are required to attend at least 3 classes per week with their assigned Company. Students are trained in West African, Modern, Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, and Hip-Hop. The company hosts two showcase concerts per year, which usually last approximately an hour and a half in length, and also hosts NC Dance Day Cultural Showcase, a full day of dance workshops and performances. The Greater Vision Dance Company has participated in conventions and workshops in, 24seven Atlanta, and Myrtle Beach, Alvin Ailey NYC among others. GVDC also provides free performances to the Winston-Salem community, including the NC Black Theater Festival, NC Black Repertory MLK Birthday Celebrations, Triad Cultural Arts Inc. Juneteenth, Greensboro and Winston-Salem Kwanzaa, Forsyth County Public Library, and banquets upon request. We also partner with Community Organizations that provide company members with Scholarships and other Performance Opportunities. Travel Company members have performed in WInston Salem along with the flowing city: Greensboro, Charlotte, Washington, DC.

Financial Responsibility
The fees associated with Greater Vision Dance Company Members are $150 registration fee per season and $100 per month. Fees are non-refundable.

Sponsorship and In-Kind Donations
Maintaining high quality programs of this magnitude takes not only time, dedication, and consistent commitment from all involved, it also requires revenue, sponsorship, and in-kind donations. Therefore, we are looking for partners and sponsors. As a partner or sponsor you will have the opportunity to become a part of a progressive performing arts organization impacting youth in the Winston-Salem Triad area. Through your sponsorship we will be able to maintain the expense of instruction, academic tutoring, field experiences, dance conventions, and costumes.
